In the BCP Mentoring
Program, students are matched with individual, class and group
mentors who serve as an adult friend or community partner to the
students. Mentors are trained and commit to spend at least one
hour per week with students. For the past two years, 148 students
were served by 136 mentors. The program is held at Waynesboro Primary
School, Blakeney Elementary School, SGA Elementary, Burke County
Middle School, Burke County High School, and Burke County Alternative
School.
Our mentors, both male and female, are recruited from churches, businesses,
industry, civic and social clubs, parents and retirees
in the community.
Mentors are require to be older than 18 years of age. If you are interested
in being a mentor, please contact BCP today!
