FutureForce
Middle and High School students participate in a leadership initiative that teaches positive values, success, leadership, career development and social development skills. The class is taught at Burke County Middle School and 64 students have been served in the past two years. Also, for the past two years, we were fortunate to have 10 students attend the CIS Summer Leadership Camp Institute in Atlanta which included 5 days of intellectually stimulating fun workshops, team building, entertainment and college campus life at Georgia Tech and Emory University.

Peer pressure is a big challenge. The program has shown me that I don't have to follow the crowd. They also showed me how to plan my day and my life.

Project CHANGE Evening School

For students that have failed classes and gotten off track for graduation, Burke Community Partnership provides a means for students to take night classes to get caught up and back in line for graduation. Project CHANGE Evening School classes are offered at Burke County High School and Burke Community Partnership pays partial tuition for students from low-income families.

The program helped to make my family's dream come true. With the help of the evening school program, my cousin was able to graduate on time. This is a testimony that the program works. His plan is to enlist in the U.S. Navy this summer.  Project Change Evening School has prepared him for the challenges that that he will face in the future. Please accept the sincere gratitude of our family. --Thaddeus Shubert, Family Member
